MISSION

The mission of the Seward Community Library Association, a/k/a The Friends of the Seward Library, is a non-profit organization that exists to enhance literacy in our community by supporting the Seward Community Library services, programs and resources, preserving SCLA historical resources and provide educational opportunities through scholarships and other programs.​
HISTORY
SCLA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has been incorporated since 1930 with the state of Alaska.
Seward Community Library Museum Project began in 2008 and culminated after the new building officially opened January 12, 2013.
