The classic picture book written by Julia Donaldson & illustrated by Axel Scheffler now has a wonderful animated film.

Max Lang, an Oscar nominated producer/director, will present his new animated short film which recently won the International Kids Emmy for

Animation.  Following the 26 minute movie there will be a discussion/Q&A with Mr. Lang about how animated movies are made.  Take a look at the website www.roomonthebroom.com for more information about the film and fun activities.

A large crowd attended the Stevens Puppets production of Beauty & the Beast!  Children (72) and adults (47) totaling 120 persons enjoyed the free for community program.  This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library through membership and other fund raising efforts.  Your support of the Library Museum is working to bring more of these programs for children and adults to Seward!  Are you a Friend?  Join us today!    Form

Beauty and the Beast production by Steven’s Puppets takes place this Friday, June 13th at 6:30 PM in the Community Room.

What could be more fun that winning prizes while reading great books? "Fizz! Boom! Read!" is the summer reading program, and it helps make reading a terrific part of your summer family time. It also helps children and teens not only maintain their reading skills but improve them!

"SPARK a Reaction" is this year's theme for the teen summer reading program for middle & high school students. This program will consist of a reading raffle with weekly prizes. There will also be a grand prize drawing for a Kindle Fire HD or a $200 Amazon gift card. Every book read during the program is equal to one raffle ticket entry. All middle and high school students who stop by the Community Library front desk on June 7th will get an automatic entry in the drawing.
