THANK YOU SEWARD FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY AND COMMUNITY.
Our favorite time of the year, a time of thinking of family and sharing time. The Friends of the Library (aka Seward Community Library Association, SCLA) have been working with the library staff for years with the Wish Tree program. Library staff works to make up a 'wish list' of books that they would like to see on the shelves. The list becomes labels with a picture of the book, listing the author and some small information about the book. The label becomes a wish card placed on a tree.
Stop into the library and take a look at the wish tree and consider sponsoring one or more books during the holidays.
Last season community sponsored 50+ new books, it is the Friends goal to exceed this total.
Have you noticed the number of babies and young children coming into our community?! Some are calling it a baby boom for Seward. Those babies and youngsters will be looking for that special book to take home and read!
Join the Friends as we work to fill our library shelves with new exciting books for toddlers, children and youth! The Wish Tree will be up through the first week in January.
$20 per book sponsorship, cash or check
We can also do credit card for larger amounts, please call to make an appointment to meet at the library. Call Mary @ 907-362-1225
Note: This program puts 100% of the funding to books on the shelves
