Friends of the Seward Library and the Garden Fairies wish to thank all of the community that stopped by during the Art Walk in the Garden event this last Friday.
Thanks to Nan Thompson and her sewing friends for the donations of the many ‘Fiber Art’ pieces and the individuals that gave, over $600 was raised that will be dedicated to the garden upkeep!
Ten Alaska salmon dips were entered into the ‘Salmon Dip Off’ and 69 votes were cast. All had a good time tasting the dips, talking about their flavors and differences. Many of the dips were made with hand caught and home smoked salmon and voting was tight with one vote between first and second place. The first place dip was from Lori Swan, second place was Nellie Metcalf and third place Diane Owens.
Winners will be notified and prizes awarded accordingly. Thank you everyone who participated, containers can be picked up from the kitchenette of the Community Room in the Library during library hours.
