Community Library Museum, where author and former Anchorage Police Department
Detective Glen Klinkhart will lead a short discussion about his new true crime memoir,
“Finding Bethany.” A book signing will follow.
Friends of the Library members can get early access to the author at 7:30 p.m. The
public Q&A and book signing will happen at 8 p.m.
Klinkhart, who has been featured on the TV shows “20/20” and “Dateline” as a result of his work, examines how his own history of losing his sister to a tragic sexual homicide aided him in helping a family find their own missing daughter.
“I have always said you don’t have to have a murdered sister to be a good homicide
detective, but it helps,” said Klinkhart, a lifelong Alaskan who worked as a police
detective for more than 17 years. “Only now do I realize how much it helps.”
Sponsored by the Seward Friends of the Library, this event will have light refreshments
and one copy of “Finding Bethany” will be given away as a door prize!
Due to the subject matter of “Finding Bethany,” teens and adults are encouraged to
attend. For more information, please email [email protected].
