A good time was had Saturday at our celebration of the season. Music and dancing in the stacks, family story time, face painting, kids crafts, museum open and free, awesome finger foods and cider. We want to thank Blackwater Railroad for coming to play their music and all the volunteers that contributed to the food table and manning the stations throughout the Library Museum on Saturday. All that was left of the food were a few carrot sticks! Well done. We want to make this an annual event, so mark your calendars for next year around this time.
Wish tree is up with beautiful heritage holiday post cards, and will stay up now until the end of the year. Those cards have books on the back that are 'wishes' from the community and library staff to have on the shelves. Twenty dollar sponsorship will add a book to our library shelves. Stop by and find a book to sponsor, you can have your name, family name, or in memorial of a loved one put on the book plate that stays inside the cover of the book. photos by: SCLA
